Oh how I love Kevin and Jo!
When I see them dancing like that I fall in love with lindy hop all over again.
Amazing.. I just can't decide which part is my favorite!

  • 1:38-1:44 - absolutely beautiful!
  • 2:22 just took my breath away!
  • 2:56 - that little wink, haha! Brilliant!
Happy (finally!) spring week everyone!

happy Easter.

Happy Easter, my darlings! I'm sooooo tired of this cold outside and I guess, so are you, so I can't wait the spring to come! When I think about it, I always remember this poem:

What a strange thing!
To be alive
Beneath cherry blossoms.
~Kobayashi Issa

And it is a strange thing, isn't it? :)
So while we're waiting, here are a few fun links for your long (hopefully warmer) Easter weekend...
Have a good one and I hope you have someone so unforgettable, who thinks that you are unforgettable too by your side this weekend...
Take care,
xoxo

She said one thing and I said another and the next thing I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life in the middle of that conversation.

I knew.

[...] and I knew that she used to stare at me when I was playing football with her brother and another friend and when we used to ride bikes, she kept staring at me, but I wasn't interested. I was seventeen, she was sixteen, I saw her dressed up and she had a light dress on and boom - it was gone, I was there and she was the one for me there, absolutely.

Have a loving weekend.

or something else entirely.

I hadn’t known that a light could be a feeling and a sound could be a color and a kiss could be both a question and an answer. And that heaven could be the ocean or a person or this moment or something else entirely.

no elevator to success or how to get things done.

Another day I came across with this quote: there is no elevator to success. You have to take the stairs, which is quite stupidly funny, but - I think we can all agree - true as well.
Everyone wants to be good at something, to succeed, but sometimes it's so hard to take these steep stairs or even to decide to take them. And that's where determination comes along, which is that one thing that leads us to taking these stairs, which often looks endless.
So I couldn't help but wonder: what is the reason we become so determined about something?
It obviously has a lot to do with our passions, with things we are passionate about. A friend of mine once told me: if you want something or someone so badly, you will do something about it. And if you don't do anything about it... well, then maybe you don't want it that much, you just think you do.
I must say it answers my question, but the thing is that sometimes we are afraid of something we want, because this thing looks so enormous up there and our determination to do something about it just hides back in the corner.
If determination is a way to succeed, how could we overcome our fear of heights?
As I was more and more thinking about it, I came to conclusion that the phrase replace your fear with curiosity is obviously a lie. You just can't replace your fear with something, because as long as you will care about something, you will have this fear and it's natural. I think the only thing you can do about it is to risk and hope for the best while having this fear along with you.
Some time ago I read this book "The power of your subconscious mind" by Joseph Murphy, where he talked a lot about how important is to visualize the result of your desire in your mind and in this way your subconscious mind will be encoded to succeed. I may not agree to all of his statements, but I think there are some truth in some of them. When you imagine the clear result of what is that you want, you become more determined about it, so it is more likely you will succeed!
In conclusion, I should say that this whole circle of success comes from one thing: courage. If we can find courage within ourselves to want something so badly - then everything else will come along with it. As usual the unknown author once said the most brilliant wisdom:

Courage is looking fear right in the eye and saying:“Get the hell out of my way, I’ve got things to do.”
